The Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation and receives no ongoing financial support from any Government department.
By donating to the Foundation you will be improving the quality of health care provision for people in the Wide Bay and North Burnett.
You can become part of our unique team by giving a gift today ……. Local People Helping Local Patients.
All monies donated goes to the purchase of non Government supplied equipment.

BEQUESTS: People can also choose to leave a bequest in their Will to give a gift that lives on for future generations. Click here for more details.
TRUSTS: The Foundation can also set up a trust in the name of someone so that funds are available each year for a specific program that the individual or family has specified
The Bundaberg Health Services Foundation’s Volunteer Program gives the community who wish to donate their time to participate in one of our many programs.
We see volunteers as being very valuable members of our society and have developed our volunteer programs in such a way that volunteers are not only appreciated but given the opportunity to grow with the organisation.
Volunteers assist in a variety of areas including:
- Trolley service to the various wards at Bundaberg Hospital
- Running Cafe 641 at the Bundaberg Regional Library
- running Alfresco Coffee bar at the Cancer Care Building
- Driving a buggy service between the Cancer Care and Oral Health Unit & Bundaberg Hospital
- Cancer Care Coffee and Chat with oncology patients
- Monthly fundraising barbecues
- Rehab Social visit
- Pathology admin
- Music program for Rehab and Palliative Care patients
- Money Board for Hospital Staff
- Recyclable Cans collection
- Patient Surveys
- Book Library in Hospital
- Oncology Patient Travel
- And other fundraising events

Donors can nominate a ward, department or project where they want their money spent when they leave it with the Bundaberg Health Services Foundation.
We work with donors to make sure funds can be raised specifically for an area in the hospital or for a certain project that meets their needs.
We provide all the extras (non-government funded) that are so vital to patient comfort and care. Our hospital “wish list’’ is long and varied.
We look forward to a long and happy association with you – because without your valuable assistance we would not survive.
The Foundation has a fundraising register and can offer fundraising advice. With our media contacts we can help with promotion.
If you or your organisation want to raise money locally and have it spent locally knowing you are helping local people … then you can make a real difference and we are here to help.

At the end of your fundraising campaign we can issue a tax deductible receipt, organise a media release to publically thank your organisation and organise a tour of the hospital to see the equipment once it arrives.
We can attend meetings or functions and give a presentation on the Foundation’s mission.
We also want to create health projects that have benefits for our entire community.
